Corruption begins at home

Bribery and corruption is an inherent and unfortunate part of big business deal-making across the developed and developing world.  But the idea that the Western corporate media would present domestic and foreign corruption as the same is unthinkable. Instead, viewers of the BBC are conveniently invited to vent their anger towards black politicians in far away places.

Government vs The People

Washington has turned into the thing that it freed itself from 241 years ago – a bloated and corrupt imperial power, desperate for taxes, constantly hunting down resources overseas…sustained by military might and control of the global monetary system. Arrogant beyond belief, oblivious to its own hypocrisy, and dismissive of the need to maintain the respect of other nations – the US government is a reflection of everything it was created to overthrow.

‘The psychopath, the puppet and the princeling’: Preparing PR for war on Iran

In the coming months we can expect to witness an increasing number of speeches and articles demonising Iran, along with a growing number of ‘serious incidents’, that will be used to justify reneging on the nuclear deal. The phoney war on Iran has entered a new phase. The Likud party led by Netanyahu, the Trump administration, supported by the Wahhabi backed princeling in Riyadh…have absolutely no interest in collaborative solutions in the Middle East. Their goal is regime change.

The biggest battle to remove Assad is under way: This time using refugees

More than six million displaced Syrians have been forbidden to return home by the US and its allies, but are still expected to help the west to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad via ballot, having failed to topple him militarily.

The end of the indispensable empire

The challenge facing the US is to operate in a world where there is not one single power, but multiple poles of power and influence. If you were Russia, or China, or Iran, would you believe that the American administration has any interest whatsoever in international law? Would you trust the US? Or would you be looking over your shoulder wondering if you were next?
